The Bottom, capital of the Caribbean island Saba

Founded in 1632, its name a corruption of the original Dutch De Botte, meaning "the bowl," it has a population of less than 500 (out of the island's total of around 2,000). In addition to a hotel and several restaurants, bars, and shops, The Bottom's main feature is the Saba University School of Medicine, whose students and professors make up a good chunk of the village's population.
