One of the cool things about Hong Kong - which include some of the world's hilliest terrain of any urban area - is its system for negotiating some of those steep slopes: open air but covered escalators and moving walkways. That includes the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator, which at 800 meters (2,624 feet) is the world's longest outdoor covered escalator system. It also happens to offer visitors a great way to hop on and off to explore a wide variety of landmarks, museums, shops, and restaurants!
