Popular since the 1950s, one of the most prominent of Asia´s "hell parks"  has more than a thousand statues and dioramas depicting various aspects of Chinese folklore, spirituality (Taoist and Confucian as well as Buddhist), legends, and history. But the central attraction is a "Hell Museum" including the "Ten Courts of Hell" depicting Diyu, a kind of purgatory where spirits are both punished and renewed in preparation for reincarnation.
