On Duval Street and built in 1829 by one of the many ship captains who shaped life in Key West in the 19th century, this charming clapboard affair is now a museum open to the public - at no charge - and offers an interesting window back into a time when this city was turning itself into Florida's most dynamic and eventually USA's richest of the century.
