In a country known for a vibrant baseball scene and producing some of the sport's most powerful ballplayers, this 67-year-old stadium in Santo Domingo, seating nearly 14,500 spectators, is its most prominent. It's home to both the Tigres del Licey and Leones del Escogido teams, and is a great place to see some of the Caribbean's most formidable talents - as well as some of the stars of tomorrow who will make it to the U.S. major leagues - during the fall/winter season which runs from October through January, culminating in the Caribbean Series, played here between the DR and Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
