Dingboche Village – Everest Base Camp Trek
Dingboche (4,410 m) is one of the most beautiful and important villages on the Everest Base Camp Trek. Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, it offers breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Island Peak, Taboche, and Cholatse. The village is known for its peaceful atmosphere, traditional stone houses, and fields protected by stone walls, where locals grow potatoes and barley.
Most trekkers spend an extra day in Dingboche for acclimatization before continuing to higher elevations. During the rest day, hikers usually climb Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m) for incredible panoramic views and to help their bodies adjust to the altitude.
