Shared with the Indian state of West Bengal, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world's largest mangrove forest, as well as home to more than a hundred Royal Bengal tigers. Covering more than 6,000 square kilometers (2,323 sq. miles) of Bangladesh's southwestern coastal region, it's perhaps the country's top tourism lure - though like many ecologically sensitive areas, it's come under threat from global warming.
