Built in the mid-19th-century and named after then Prince Albert of the colonial ruler Great Britain, this cheerful, colourful, sometimes chaotic affair is the main one in town, divided into a larger marketplace for locals - hawking produce, foodstuffs, and household items - and a section devoted more to handicrafts and art aimed at visitors. Much recommended for rubbing shoulders with Banjulians and nabbing some great photo ops!
