Noida:In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as “National Voters’ Day” It has been started from January 25, 2011 to mark Commission’s foundation day.Observing that new voters, who have attained the age of 18 years, were showing less interest in getting enrolled in the electoral rolls, a National Voters Day was celebrated at Marwah Studios.“it is important to motivate young students to get themselves enrolled in voters list and then encourage them to use their right to vote, we have decided to celebrate Voters Day at AAFT,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group a family of 15000 media professionals.Speaking on the occasion the Commissioner of Scouts & Guides Rak K. P. Sinha mentioned that, “We also need people like Sandeep Marwah to propagate this subject of Voters Day through media. 14 lakhs cadets- part of Scouts and Guides, spreading all over India, need to be added soon in the voters list.”A poster was launched to mark respect to National Voters Day at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida in the presence of large media students of Asian Academy of Film And Television.
