22 Rebuilt bridge at Mostar, Bosnia (PIR)

Beautiful and well-chosen pictures of Bosnia, Peter! I was in Mostar and Međugorje in 1997 and was impressed with the raw and tragic beauty of this country. In Mostar we saw the remnants of war and very young UN soldiers standing on the corners by their tanks, looking very nervous. We crossed the bridge over the Neretva while it was a rickety suspension thing that bounced with every step; it's really good to see they've rebuilt, though of course it's not as beautiful as the original.
