  • Hi Emma, thank you for your interest in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta has very interesting spots to visit, starting with El Malecon or teh Beach boardwalk area where you will find some nice sculptures from Alejandro Colunga and othe local artists. The gastronomy is definitely a highlight in Puerto Vallarta, not only Mexican specialties but also good French & Italian restaurants, among others. If you want to experience a different side of Puerto Vallarta, you may consider some adventure tourism by doing canopy. It's fun and very secure, you won't have a problem. Golf is also good in the destination, best golf courses are located near Marina Vallarta, which is also a cozy place with some casual restaurants that you may visit. I'll be glad to ask the support of the Puerto Vallarta CVB for your trip if you would like to give me your dates. Best
  • Dear Teresa,

Jose Balido suggested I ask you about Puerto Vallarta. I am a travel writer on assignment. Will be in PV for only one full day. I'd like to see a beautiful beach/park/area, and to have a bite in a "hidden gem" so I could bring my readers some [pretend] insider tips.
I'd appreciate your help very much.
    Thanks,
    Emma Krasov

  • Muy buenas tardes, Teresa, y bienvenida a Tripatini! Great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of Tripatini, you may want to take a moment to join several other of our many groups which you may find of particular interest, such as Mexico, Travel Marketers/Publicists, Resorts Corner, Beach Bumming, The Caribbean, Hotels/Motels, Eco/Sustainable Tourism, Eating/Drinking the World, History/Heritage/Archaeology, our Spanish Language/Hispanic Cultures Club, and plenty of others covering many topics and most destinations across the globe.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a green bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, your travels, and Mexico.

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, and associates. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!).

Thanks much for joining us, Teresa; we wish you an outstanding rest of 2009 and look forward to seeing you online.

    Salud!
