"Hi Bill:
Wonderful top hear that you bring foks down to the Lower East Side! The neighborhood is always going through lots of change Those huge apartment buildings have all been transformed into cooperative apartments.. As far as moderate…"
Yes, that helps - maybe. My ex had spotted an apartment for about $350,000 that she thought would be good for our son - or me - but I'm not in a position to do anything and I'm almost sure my son isn't either.
I would have been happier to hear that they'd be rentals.
So, what's happening with the "giant" apartment buildings on eastern Grand Street? Are there any still rentals, or are they all moderately priced cooperatives? Just asking ...!
There is a recent statement I believe that is targeting the parking lot off of Delancey near Essex for development - finally? - so I wonder if you have any news.
As you see, I'm a tour guide, and have taken people to Kossar's, and by the Donut Plant (but not in, because it's always so crowded, and I suspect their quality just might be over-rated?), but I intend to take some all the way out to the intersection of East Broadway and Grand because that seems a more pure example of what's remaining of the historically Jewish Lower East Side. No?
