  • thanks Phyllis, thanks for that helpful comment, it might be a North America thing, down under here - NZ/Australia , I find that people are very focused on destination first. I will keep that in mind for future rethinking about the data base and the way people can search.

Re your resort - would you like to list it on www.womentravel.info - go to list with us and new listing and fill in the details.

  • I think it is terrific. If I may make one comment, from a long time women's travel tour operator. Most women ( $80-1000,000 income) look for 1. budget, 2. destination, 3. mode. By mode, I mean, independent, small tour, large tour, riverboat, cruise, niche as in gay, singles',elder or theme: cooking, walking, art etc.

By doing it by country, it gets a bit hard to find what one wants. I found that many women went for budget first then chose the destination. "I have $2500 to spend" kind of consumer attitude" versus I want to go to xxx. The latter was for the very experienced traveler who had more discretionary money.

Our resort by the way specializes in women's groups and individuals and it is very easy to go there alone. You meet others immediately in the walks, classes or at meals where large tables are full of women who usually welcome you to join them.

Group pricing starts at 6 with a free place for 10. Hope you join me sometime.

  • Greetings, Rosemary, and a hearty welcome to Go-Lo! It's great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of the site, you may want to take a few minutes to join several other of our many groups which you might find of particular interest, such as Media Only, Travel Marketers/Publicists, New Zealand, Eating/Drinking the World, Resorts Corner, B&Bs/Inns/Pensions, and various others covering many topics and most countries throughout the world.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a blue bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, and your enterprises.

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, and/or clients. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). We would of course also be pleased if you have occasion to mention Go-Lo in any of your sites, as consider an exchange of links. Let us know, too, if you'd like to guest-blog for us.

We wish you a great rest of 2009 and look forward to hearing more from you...!
