"Really welcome information just as I was going to search for a hotel near an early flight out of LaGuardia.
I love booking through Priceline but a bit wary of being able to get one of those two."
"There are too many places to single out just a few, but the Coramandel is wonderful and Sharon Johanssen's tours there, Napier's Master's Lodge so romantic, Nelson, lovely and super friendly as is all of New Zealand,
architecture in Wellington, Bay…"
"Looking for eco accommodations between Christmas and New Year's, Caribbean, rural, or small town, rustic but nice, internet access, erg rowing machines. Considering Costa Rica. Does anything come to mind?"
"It was actually a skit on SNL that made me think you'd be electrocuted so it may not be true. They were stuck in It's A Small World and went stark, raving mad and jumped out anyway and were electrocuted."
"Where did you write about Denver?
We were caught in fog too thick to see to pull off the road trying to drive from Dallas to San Antonio, not much of a story there.
Made it through seven hurricanes in five years living on the Carolina coast, but…"
"Ask Johnny Jet. He had a site that had a map that showed all the destinations and airlines from a city, but I don't think it had current prices on the same site."
"Hey Donna, I missed this reply in May, enroute to Australia probably.
I had to cancel Corroboree, but was signed up for the NSW post fam down
the coast which looked great.
What are you going to do?"
"We had a caravan in New Zealand 25 years ago and the country was very camper friendly. and far cleaner than sites in the U.S. Maybe NZ companies should stop renting caravans without toilet facilities if the freedom riders don't have doggie bags."
Hi Betty, thanks...guess we can call this a page (?)...Anyway, thanks for the Charlotte Observer request ! That's in North or South Carolina, isn't it ?
A lot of people stop over in Brunei on their way to Australia, mostly brits. But from your part of the US, how do people prefer going to Australia ? Through LA or via London ? Anyway, Brunei and Borneo are exotic places for people who love nature, flora and fauna, with Brunei having the extra excitement of wealth and Royalty. Alan Riches is quite active with the local travel association, and he runs his own tour company now called Intrepid Tours (you can google it, look also for Brunei Bay), so we meet often, plus he lives in the same area as me. I should see him Wednesday, I'll let him know...
Good morning, Betty, and a hearty welcome to Go-Lo! It's great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.
To get the most out of Go-Lo, you may want to also take a few minutes to join several other of our many groups which you might find of particular interest, such as Media Only, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Honjg Kong, Colorado, Travel Marketers/Publicists, Eating/Drinking the World, and various others covering many topics and most other destinations throughout the the Pacific, Asia, and the rest of the world.
FYI, on your profile you'll see a blue bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself and your interests.
Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, and colleagues. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). We'd also be grateful if you have any opportunity to cover Go-Lo in any of your media outlets.
We wish you the best of luck over the rest of 2009 and beyond, both personally and professionally, and look forward to hearing much more from you...
