Girls That Roam launches
first annual international women’s travel survey
(San Francisco, CA, USA – October 1, 2011) Calling all globetrotting women! Girls That Roam, a new online women’s travel magazine and community, wants to know, “Where in the world would you like to go?”
So many places to go and so many places to find information about your next vacation–but is that information based on your needs and desires? Can you connect with other women travelers?
“As a travel writer focused on women and queer women’s travel I was frustrated and dissatisfied with the dearth of information and entertaining media about women’s travel, and how scattered it is around media outlets, especially for travel information focused on diverse communities of women,” said Heather Cassell, publisher and editor-in-chief of Girls That Roam.
Cassell teamed up with her life and travel partner, Geena Dabadghav, a veteran globetrotter, on the road co-host and tech goddess, to bring Girls That Roam to life. A single place where women who love to travel from around the globe can come together to make friends, be entertained, and find what they need and want to make their business trips and vacations what they imagine.
“Really, it’s supposed to be a vacation party people!” chimed in Dabadghav, chief technology officer of Girls That Roam.
Come on girls! We can do better. We can have a place where we can all come together share our travel experiences and get the information that we need. That’s what Girls That Roam aims to do, but we need your help! So, we thought we would gather together in a global brainstorming session–well, really a survey.
Tell us about your deepest globetrotting desires and pet peeves September 15 – November 15 and you could be one of the lucky winners of paradise stays in Puerto Rico or Hawaii along with other fantastic prizes.
The survey is currently available online at http://girlsthatroam.com/GTRWTSv1.htm from September 15 – November 15.
Welcome aboard! We are very excited to meet you. Get that tropical drink with the umbrella, turn on some ocean sounds, sit back in front of your computer for about 30 minutes, and relax.
Thank you for being our travel buddy on this journey and don’t forget to sign up free for Girls That Roam at www.girlsthatroam.com.
The survey is being conducted by Girls That Roam and sponsored by Paradise in Puerto Rico, Maui Sunseeker, Sheraton Maui, Westin Maui, Ka’anapali Golf Courses & Resort, A Salon 7, and Dutcher Crossing Winery.
