In May 2022 we decided to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our relationship by making a sentimental journey back to DC where we met as students at GU, established by Jesuits in 1789. Much of the campus has of course grown and changed tremendously in the decades since, but its historic core remains the same, anchored by the Healy Building and the statue of its founder and first president John Carrroll (who by the way was also the first head of the Roman Catholic church in the United States).
