London is the most exciting city in Europe, but it's also the most overrated.
London is also one of three European cities with the friendliest cab drivers, but it's also among the three cities with the rudest cab drivers.
These results, as reported at eTurboNews, are from a poll of 3,523 Tripadvisor users. How seriously do you take what you see on Tripadvisor?

So who are the people who write these things on Tripadvisor? What experience do that have? How often do they take cabs in their hometowns or cities?
My father owned a cab company. It was not unusual to pick up passengers who didn't know where they were or where they wanted to go. It wasn't unusual to carry rude passengers. Or drunks who would get sick in or on the car. Then there were passengers who expected the driver to lift things they couldn't or wouldn't - it's your bloody stuff, can't lift, then hire a moving company or someone experienced in doing that. When you get into a cab their obligation is to get you safely to your destination.
This poll just shows that 3,523 people can be wrong or uninformed. You get back what you give. Should a rude passenger expect a polite driver? BTW, rude people never think they're rude.
How seriously can you take this Tripadvisor poll? not very.... cabbies.... how can you tell whether cabbies in most other cities are being rude...not easily as they do not normally speak any form of English... if London cabbies use a little Cockney rhyming slang...this can be deemed by some as being rude... if you ar wiv your trouble 'n' strife or open the Tommy Trinder when it is raining they may say sumfink.... but they really know where they are going and how to get you there by the best route... enjoy their banter and give back some of wot yer get eh?
London over-rated?..... it is difficult to see 'most exciting' and 'over-rated' in the same sentence... does not make sense but then does TA make any real sense.... we each have our own wants and needs and surely it is better to find out for ourselves..... a little info from travellers is fine when it comes to quality of hotels etc but please... keep it down to that!
