A few years ago I had the privilege of attending this national extravaganza, held in Tallinn together with the Estonian Dance Festival every five years since 1869 (the next one is in 2024), and I even got to sit in front of the then president of the country. One of the world's biggest choral events, these days it involves some 30,000 singers and pulls in crowds of around 80,000.
