Seoul's Gyeongbokgung Palace

Built in 1395 as the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, Gyeongbokgung was destroyed during the Japanese invasion in World War II and has been restored since the 1990s. These days it's home to the National Palace Museum as well as South Korea's National Folk Museum.
