Start of course with the National Museum of Qatar (pictured here), which besides an admirable overview of the country's history and natural history also contains the palace of Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, emir for most of the first half of the 20th century and under whose rule oil was discovered and began to transform the kingdom. Also noteworthy are the Museum of Islamic Art, the Arab Museum of Modern Art, and the newest - opened in 2022, the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum (the world´s largest of its kind).
