Marking 13 years this past April, this expertly curated, 15-building exhibition established by this philanthropist Dutch owner Jacob Gelt Dekker of his resort in capital Willemstad focuses on the "Middle Passage," covering the slave trade's capture of Africans to their transport to the Americas; it also looks at the impact of the slaves' cultural heritage in Curaçao and to an extent the rest of the Cariibean. I visited some years ago and found it a moving experience indeed.
