Founded in the mid-18th century, the state´s second largest city (pop around 78,000) is known for its historic red-brick architecture (designated one of the USA´s "Dozen Distinctive Destinations" by the National Trust of Historic Preservation) and its vibrant downtown, with hip bars, restaurants, shops, galleries, and craft breweries/brewpubs.
