Baghdad´s legendary Al-Rashid Street

Laid out in the early 20th century during the late Ottoman period and continued building through the 1940s, this was once the city’s grand boulevard, lined with cinemas, cafés, and shops; still offers glimpses of Baghdad’s more cosmopolitan past; and has recently undergone significant renovation.
