Why India is a medical tourism hotspot
HemanthOS The world´s most populous country is also one of its richest in terms of what it has to offer visitors on all fronts - culture, history, cuisine, natural attractions, and much more. Doug, I am relieved to know it is DEL-BOM instead of DXB-BOM. Later would probably go in the travel world as the most dangerous drive undertaken by homeymooners :)
Driving in India is not for the weak hearted; definitely not for young honeymooners on their trip to India for the first time ? They could take a train which is quite inexpensive even in 2/AC or 1/AC. They should also consider weatherbase.com for climate data for cities they plan to visit.
Finally I doubt there are cars one could rent one-way and self-drive. I admit, I have no clue about car rentals in India.
Oh my gosh! I meant Delhi to Mumbai, then Goa. Sorry. Yep, in two weeks that would be an accomplishment.
Doug, Drive ??? Let me not be diplomatic - One word - Nuts. You do not have to be an India expert, open the map of the region, and then see how they plan to go to about reaching India from Dubai by car.
On the other hand, if you meant fly from Dubai to Mumbai then it is a different story. I would not recommend anyone who is not familiar with indian style traffic and driving, not to play a roulette with their vacation.
Without their tentative itinerary and the time of the year, it is difficult to give suggestions. Goa is popular with the ex hippies and today's backpackers. There are also many british retirees and a popular russian tourist destination.
I suggest they look at the active forums on Goa in indiamike.com for current ground realities.
My son and his new bride plan to drive from Dubai to Mumbai and then to Goa, spending about two weeks total in India. Any great suggestions or connections for them?. They like active adventure as well as sight-seeing, but they are already stretching their budget just getting there.
I've yet to get to India myself, so I'm no help with suggestions.
India is a nice country i have been there in 2009 with an Egyptian group but i noticed that my company was the only one in Egypt to organize a tour to India in this volume we were 60 people
we spent 10 days and we have visited the golden triangle
