This 681-acre spread in the eponymous central Jersey town commemorates and documents the momentous defeat of the British on January 3, 1777 by the forces of the newly declared United States of America. Among its notable features is the Thomas Clarke House Museum, built by a Quaker family in 1772, furnished according to the period, and displaying many exhibits and artifacts relating to the battle and New Jersey´s Revolutionary history.
