The Rupununu Savannah´s annual rodeo

This 5,000-square-mile plain in the southwest between the Rupunini River and the border with Brazil is home to an extensive cattle-ranching and cowboy culture, celebrated each Easter weekend in the town of Lethem at the Punununu Rodeo with competitions in riding bulls and broncos (both saddled and bareback), as well as other horse-centered activities such as whip-cracking, lassoing horses and "milking wild cows" (pictured here)
