Berlin´s Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

Started in 1891 and opened in 1906, the church was built under Kaiser Wilhelm II and named after his grandfather Kaiser Wilhelm I. After being severely damaged in an Allied bombing raid in 1943, it was decided after the war to keep it in its ruined state as a monument to the horrors of World War II, and makes quite a dramatic site on the built up shopping thoroughfare Kufürstendam.
