The Christ Church Cathedral and Whalebone Arch

Its current incarnation finished in 1892, the world's southernmost Anglican cathedral features stone and brick construction as well as several beautiful stained-glass windows. The arch, placed here in 1933 to mark a century of British colonization, is composed of the jaws of two blue whales.
