So different from SoCal it might as well be another state, northern California is cool, green, and hilly, and inimitable San Francisco is its biggest fish, at the center of the nine-county Bay Area including Oakland, Sausalito, San Jose, Marin County, and the wine country of Napa and Sonoma (and don't forget, we also have a San Francisco group and a California forum in our Wine Tourism group!).
