Cameroon's comely Kribi Beach

A city of some 81,000 on the southern coast, several hours' drive from capital Yaoundé,  Kribi has thrived as a shipping port for Cameroon's exports of raw materials - especially bauxite and iron ore. But in recent years it's also become something of a resort destination thanks to its exceptional beaches - with small hotels and still relatively free of mass tourism - as well as nearby eco/cultural attractions like nearby Lobe waterfalls and settlements of forest-dwelling pygmies).
