The Bahrain National Museum in Manama

Opened 35 years ago and designed by Danish architects, its 27,800 square metres houses artifacts and exhibitions documenting civilisation on this island going back some five millennia, from the ancient Dilmun to the preindustrial past into the 20th century, and also including a hall devoted to natural history. It´s the country´s most popular tourist attraction, and a must for visitors.
