Part of a compact, walkable historic core that fans out into newer suburbs and lively market districts, the Inner City´s wooden architecture is a “tropicalized” Dutch-and-Creole mix of shuttered buildings, symmetrical facades, and verandas so distinctive it is officially a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
