Driving is the best way to see the country and Canada's National Parks are well-maintained, as close as you can be to Canada's wilderness and fairly cheap (less than $30 for a campsite, although some parks will get you on an additional park entrance fee. Fundy National Park is a gem in New Brunswick; we went for a big hike, brought lunch containers, and spent the day by the side of a secluded riverbank we found, and rented kayaks and saw a baby moose feeding in a small lake! A great way to experience Canada.
