Are you a representative of a unique destination travel location? My company has started a new project on Kickstarter, "Write/Peace", addressing the 6 trillion (that's 6,000,000,000) economic impact of travel and tourism. More, this is an exploration of how communities are preserving their culture by welcoming us lucky travelers into their regions. If funded, W/P will publish a series of long-form (3,500+) over the course of one year.
We are seeking have ideas and/or suggestions about the following:
— Examples of how travel destinations spanning the planet are effected by the six-trillion-dollar global travel and tourism industry
— Positive ways to contribute to local societies and economies when traveling throughout North America and abroad
— What local communities are doing to earn money while simultaneously telling the stories that preserve their cultures
