Happy Trails!

As you've probably figured out by the lack of posts here, we've retired from accessible travel blogging. However, we will still maintain the list of Northern California wheelchair accessible trails and there's still a ton of content on our site that will stay as an archive. It's been fun and rewarding. We'll still be traveling but will no longer be posting about our travels.Happy Accessible Trails to you all!www.musickchannel.com

  • I hope this article will help folks with chronic pain who are thinking about going the hostel route for cheap travel to make an informed decision:

    Hostels With Pain

While hostels aren't for me anymore, I drew upon my experience staying in them before I got too sick. And I think that some folks with different sorts of conditions might still be able to go hosteling.
  • It's music day here at The World on Wheels. Today's Travel Tune finds Dwight Yoakam and Buck Owens singing about this week's destination. One of my favorite songs: http://tinyurl.com/395av7f

  • Wheelchair hiking? At most places, that means an extended sidewalk around a state park's parking lot. There are a few places, though, where a wheelchair can really get back to nature. On Monday, we featured a beaver pond trail near Redding, California. Tomorrow, we'll be featuring a superb accessible mountain and river trail in California's Gold Country. Today, we feature 8 wheelchair accessible hiking trails in Southern and Central California ranging from urban hills to remote sequoia groves. It's all at The World on Wheels: http://tinyurl.com/3ydq7fv
  • We finish up the week with an extensive finale to our accessible London Trip Report with side trips to Paris and Bath. Roman ruins, pubs, mummies, and the Mona Lisa are on tap today at The World on Wheels: http://tinyurl.com/2daync3
