I found that it all depends on who's cooking it. I've haven't had elk yet, but I've had both good and bad venison. Same with buffalo, for years I couldn't stand it then I had the buffalo burger at The Buffalo Inn in Upland, California, which is delicious.

Tonight I had a slightly peppery elk sausage appetizer followed by a juicy elk cheeseburger at the Wort Hotel's Silver Dollar Grill in Jackson Hole. This was the first time I've ever really liked elk (and I still can't warm up to buffalo). Is this an incorrect attitude?

Montijo is a portuguese city on Setubal region near the portuguese capital Lisboa. Fantastic gastronomy in several restaurants. In the past, the city was the supplier of the capital through boat, special sault, wood and wine. More information on Montijo, here.
