I am working on a feature for my website www.foodandtravel.com.au to run over the Christmas-New Year period. I want to highlight a few countries in relation to the seasonal and festive food they serve at this time. I would be delighted to hear from people with a knowledge of the foods of specific countries (UK, US, Australia excepted). If you have available pics too, which you can direct me to, that would also be great.
Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season.

Dreamed of having a meal in one of those Michelin starred restaurants byt could never go for the price? Wake up! You’ve got a big chance until November 21.
Dining in a high class restaurant is in fact an expensive matter, byt not during the Rome Restaurant Week, the culinary week intended for people who enjoy food and would like to try out top-notch restaurants at a reasonable price.
Until Sunday the participating restaurants will prepare a 3 course dinner for a special fixed price of only 25€. There will be a surcharge of 10€ for restaurants with more than 75 points listed in the “Gambero Rosso” guide such as A’Ciaramira, Antico Arco, Gaetano Costa Restaurant & Afternoon Tea and Vivendo; and Michelin starred restaurants like Glass Hostaria will apply 10 Euro extra for each star. Bookings for the Rome Restaurant Week are only possible through www.restaurantweek.it and are handled realtime.
