How Princess Cruises is servIng up innovative dining

The exclusive dining experience on the Princess Discovery is unlike any other I have been a part of during my travels. "360: An Extraordinary Experience" is dining immersion making one feel like you’re sitting in the Greek countryside with olive trees or smelling the fragrance of lavender in the south of France. Thanks to Princess Cruises, I savored this time with fellow bloggers. I immediately became captivated with the experience when I heard beautiful music played by two violinists and…

Bon appétit, Seychelles-style

  • Let's be honest here.

Member Melissa Solin writes in her blog post on her trip Cairo that her favorite experience was the traditional Egyptian meal. In a country with pyramids, ruins, museums, and fascinating culture, that's a pretty strong statement (must've been one heck of a meal!).

How "big" a part of the travel experience is the cuisine for you? Have you ever found yourself planning a trip because you yearn for Italian gelato? Or the most authentic pad thai?

There's no shame, we all love food in this group, let's 'fess up!
  • That will come with the barbecue later!
  • If "a white ine that will hold uyp to a really low temp" try an inexpensive Pinot Gris from Oregon, Pinot Grigio from Italy, Sauvignon Blanc from California, a rosé from Spain or France's mediterranean, etc. But really, what you need is not a glass of wine but a bottle of really cold beer.
  • Sitting in a bucket of ice for about 4 hours. I realize this isn't really the proper temperature for it but on a really hot day like today, that's what I'm looking for...a white wine that will hold up to a really low temp.
  • Hi Darryl, What do you mean by an "extremely well-chilled chardonnay?"
  • It's another Cocktail Hour on The World on Wheels. Today, it's around 110 degrees on the patio so we extol the virtues of an extremely well-chilled chardonnay: http://tinyurl.com/2d54225
