Seattle's one of the USA's best cities for visitors, but the lures here are many: apple-growing & wine country, Mount Rainier and the Cascades mountains, the eco-wonderful San Juan Islands, and other cool cities like Spokane, Tacoma, and capital Olympia.

  • Another great Seattle ghost tour that visits many "haunted" spots throughout the city and that's narrated with chilling tales is Haunted Happenings. The tour is guided by Jake, a veritable paranormal guru who will leave you with more questions than answers. Lots of fun. http://www.privateeyetours.com/haunted.htm
  • In the Tripatini Spotlight this week: Seattle's spooky-cool (and highly historic) Underground in the Pioneer Square neighborhood (after this week, catch it in our Spotlight archive).

  • So, like I twittered today, I had lunch at Pike Place market and my friend Sally and I got to talking about all the ghosts in the place. I didn't realize there was a Web site and a tour you can take of all the haunted spots in the market. Anyone ever done the tour? Better yet, anyone ever see any funny shadows or ghostly apparitions in the market? Not that I believe in ghosts, but then again...........
