Saying 'G’Day' to some fine Australian wines

Some weeks ago, our Southern California Wine Council greeted 2022 with a tasting of five wines from the Land Down Under which are exported to the United States.  Four of these wines are produced by Eight at the Gate in the Wrattonbully wine country located along the country's southeastern coast, about 280 miles from Melbourne and stretching throughout the hill country of the Stewarts and Naracoorte mountain ranges.  This area has a temperate climate, long growing season, and…

10 Australia road-trip tips

In terms of epic journeys, you’re not going to get much bigger than road tripping around the land Down Under. This huge landmass has more differing landscapes and areas of natural beauty than perhaps anywhere else in the world, from stunning beaches, lush rainforests, the red centre, Uluru, and massive cosmopolitan cities, all with a laid-back vibe and rich culture to explore.   Of course, with any journey of this size, you need to know a little about what you’re getting yourself into before…

Outback cited in 'Using Astrology to Plan Travel this Holiday Season'

Walkerssk/Pixabay Still vibrant and popular today, the five-thousand-year-old art of astrology can identify, say, business and romantic opportunities or challenges. And those celestial bodies slinking about the stars can also help pinpoint optimal times and places for travel. And since destinations have their own astro-charts -- which interact with yours -- astrology can even serve as a kind of spiritual travel agent. It can tell you, for example, about places likely to be harmonious or…

  • Fear of ‘C’ (China/Covid/Corona) virus. Ask, do I want to be in a crowded airport, take a flight wearing a mask, be in another crowded airport, perhaps in a country with lesser health controls, stay at an all-inclusive resort, line up at food buffets, join a tour bus with another 30+people, board a gigantic cruise ship with 1000’s of other travellers, land at ports for more crowded tours, get on a train, stay in ginormous hotels or visit countries that do not have acceptable health, safety and security systems in place?

The fear of ‘C’ is now present with many of us. I believe there will be a tremendous rejection of inbound Chinese tours which use the bus, train, boat, plane to visit our villages, towns, cities, cultural sites, parks and wilderness areas in large groups (often wearing face-masks). And, do we want to travel to China?

Finally, will insurance companies be 'fearful' of offering suitable and affordable coverage for 'all' age groups?

We are still open to SME travel biz to list/link FOC direct booking offers by destinations and activities. TTTC is an excellent resource for travellers to plan for when the fear of ‘C’ has dissipated. This is a mktg and promo opp. to consider for post ‘C’ sales.

  • The Ultimate To Do List

  • My 9th trip to Australia April 2018-October 2018 was my longest and most adventurous yet.

I lived in Cairns for 3 months before my visa expired but a 4 night cruise from Cairns to the Papua New Guinea Conflict Islands allowed me to return for another 2 months which consisted of a 1,200 mile east coast roadtrip over 2 weeks, more time in Sydney and Melbourne and Tasmania.

I did everything from skydiving over the Great Barrier Reef in Airlie Beach to enjoying the world's biggest mango in Bowen, interacting with wild Mareeba rock wallabies, experiencing several eco-resorts, drinking my way through wineries, distilleries and breweries, exploring various Great Barrier Islands, and loved being with the wildlife, whale watching and eating my way through Melbourne.

Australia is simply awesome and I can't wait until to return for trip #10.9012424271?profile=original9012424654?profile=original9012424460?profile=original

We allow travel products and services to be added to our program at the same price that they are sold TO wholesalers or retailers....ie... the 'outlet' or ' source' price....they DO NOT have to be further discounted....hope this helps...this allows the smallest of quality travel businesses to promote their services at no cost to our members....full info onsite.
