    Yes, there is quite a bit of desert, however may people from the States love the journey because train travel here is so very rare and they do it for the experience. There are several interesting stops which include history that a lot of visitors don't experience when they fly from place to place. The Perth area is wonderful and there are so many interesting and beautiful places to explore on that side of Australia that shouldn't be missed.

    Anybody done the Indian Pacific Sydney-Perth train ride? Is it worth spending three days on a train? Does one actually see wildlife from the train, as the site
