    Hallo, Leute! You know, I've always found that pop songs have been really helpful to me in improving my German and other languages. And so I thought I'd throw up one that helped me once upon a time, Peter Schilling's "Major Tom" (based on a 60s concept of David Bowie's) from the 1980s, which his group also did in an English-language version that was a hit here in the early 80s. Lyrics below, enjoy!


    Gründlich durchgecheckt steht sie da
