Read more…Just_Super Refusing to visit a particular country has become a popular form of protest in recent years. Don’t go to Russia because of its brutal unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Don’t visit Israel because of its also brutal treatment of Gaza and the West Bank and the mass slaughter and displacement of its people. BTW, I was in Vancouver Dec. 08 and in Vancouver and Whistler in January 09 doing my Olympic coverage. It snowed in December and almost brought the city to a halt. I was out to dinner with friends on Saturday night. It snowed three inches and the next evening my flight was delayed seven hours because of the snow!
Whistler had tons of snow then and it snowed while I was there. I've been to Whistler five times and even in April you'll have enough snow on the mountain to ski or snowboard. I don't ski, but I started getting snow reports about mid-November for Whistler.
Oh, btw - we won gold at hockey!!!
