It is an open area with no trees, so you can see beautiful towering mountain views of the Everest Himalayas during the Everest base camp and the Cho La pass trek. It goes left from Dingboche to cross Thukla, where you can see lots of memorials of dead climbers at the top of the Thukla pass. But, the Everet high pass trail goes the other way to Chhukunt to cross Kongma La and the Khumbu glacier and reach Lobuche. It means the high passes trekkers miss this part.
