Everest region has several beautiful trekking routes. The base camp trek is the most popular one than the others, which is a 12-day trip from Kathmandu to Kathmandu starting with a short flight to Lukla and then flying out from Lukla again at the end. But, you can do it in 9 days by flying out from Gorakshep to Kathmandu direct after hiking to the base camp and Kalapatthar. If you have 3 days more with the regular base camp itinerary, it is good to go to Gokyo valley via Cho La pass to see tranquil Gokyo lakes and stunning mountain views from the Gokyo Ri.
