Altitude practice hikes are an essential part of any trek to high altitudes, such as the Everest Base Camp Trek or the Cho La Pass Trek. This is because they help acclimatize the body to reduced oxygen levels at higher altitudes, reducing the risk of altitude sickness. A common practice hike used by trekkers is from Namche Bazaar to hotel Everest view and Dingboche to Nangkar-Tsang hill, which allows them to slowly adjust to the altitude while also providing stunning views of Mount Everest and other surrounding peaks. In some cases, a helicopter ride from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp can also provide a great opportunity to witness the Everest Himalayas. If you do not have enough time to complete a regular base camp trekking itinerary, you can fly out from Gorakshep to Kathmandu directly after visiting the base camp and Kalapatthar.
