The Char Dham Yatra, also known as the Char Dham Yatra Tour Package from Jodhpur, refers to a pilgrimage tour to four sacred Hindu sites located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. These four sites are considered highly significant in Hinduism, and visiting them is believed to cleanse one's sins and lead to spiritual salvation. The Char Dham Yatra typically covers the following pilgrimage destinations:

  1. Yamunotri:

    • Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The main attraction here is the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, where devotees offer prayers and take a holy dip in the hot water spring known as Surya Kund.
  2. Gangotri:

    • Gangotri is the origin of the River Ganges and is situated in the Uttarkashi district. The Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, is the primary pilgrimage site here. Pilgrims visit the temple to offer prayers and take a dip in the holy waters of the Bhagirathi River.
  3. Kedarnath:

    • Kedarnath is home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (self-manifested lingams) of Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple, located in the Rudraprayag district, is situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters amidst the majestic Himalayas. Devotees trek to the temple from Gaurikund and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
  4. Badrinath:

    • Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The Badrinath Temple, also known as Badrinarayan Temple, is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is considered one of the 108 Divya Desams (holy abodes of Lord Vishnu). Pilgrims visit the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Badrinath.

The Char Dham Yatra typically begins in April-May and lasts until October-November, coinciding with the favorable weather conditions in the region. Pilgrims undertake the journey on foot, by vehicles, or by helicopters, depending on their preferences and physical capabilities. The yatra holds immense religious significance for Hindus and attracts devotees from across India and around the world.
