Wonderful Weather in France's Cathar Region

For those people who are interested in history now is the time to visit the Cathar region with the highlight of the visit being the medieval city of Carcassonne. The summer months are great if you are wishing to get a good tan and spend your time fighting all the other tourists off. But now is really the time to visit when all the grapes are being picked and the flora and Fawna are beginning to come out again from their summer hiding places. The accommodation gets cheaper and easier to find and everyone is glad to wind down for the lead up to Christmas. If you are not keen on other people's children or children generally get the trip in before the half term at the end of October and the flights are at their cheapest with Carcassonne, Perpignan, Toulouse, Beziers and Montpellier all available at unbelievable prices.

Having lived here now for several years, I find that this is the very best time of the year to visit, with spring (March April and May) taking a very close second. We are lucky that we are able to provide both budget and luxury rooms (2) and we love to take care of people as if they were family and friends and not just tourists.

We love to have family dinners, discussing everything from what you did today to how to put the world right in one evening, then when the weather gets cooler there's nothing nicer than sitting around the log fire with a large glass of the finest red wine with people from all around the globe, learning about their customs and cultures.

Why would you want to live anywhere else?
