Why You'll Love Malaga, Spain

If you have never been to Malaga and are wondering what all the hype is about then I can say only one thing; go! This tourist haven in southern Spain is a destination that has a little something of everything for everyone!

Still not convinced, well here is a roundup of Malaga’s best bits:

Historic Attractions

The city really does have some great places for the history buff in us all. The main attraction is the Arabic fortress of Alcazaba. The fortress rests on a hilltop in the middle of the city and once you arrive at the top you can enjoy stunning panoramic views!

Beaches

Ok so Spain has plenty of beaches and let’s face it most of them are what you would expect from a beach; golden sands and calm waters. Well Malaga is no exception and on top of the normal beach requirements you can also enjoy secluded sheltered coves. Playa Las Acacias beach having the best coves. Also the beach next the marina is pretty cool and has lots of beach bars.

Nightlife

You are definitely spoilt for choice when it comes to the nightlife. The city centre pubs and clubs are regarded as the best in Spain. It’s a great city to experience an authentic Spanish club and not one that is just full of Brit tourists!

Festivals

Could there be a city that holds as many festivals as Malaga; it’s hard to imagine! There is at least one a month and if you can visit for only one then make sure it’s the Night of San Juan, which takes place on the 23rd June to celebrate the Summer Solstice.

When you are planning your holiday it’s good to keep the cost of getting around the area down to a minimum. Booking a car hire in Malaga is a great way to make sure you see all of the sights and by booking with Auto Europe you can make sure it won’t cost you an arm and a leg!
