Are you planning to visit some of the best beaches in Cancun? We welcome you to Mexico's most famous paradise.

Cancun lies on a 13-mile-long, 396-meter-long, L-shaped island off the coast of the Yucatán peninsula, which is perhaps Mexico's most famous tourist destination.

Cancun has always been a paradise. Cancun was built especially for luxury travelers. The large resort was yet constructed from the jungle and the pristine beach in just over a last decade.

More than three million tourists visit every year, making it yet to be one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. You will never run out of adventures in this region with its extensive coral reefs and white-sand beaches.

Visiting Cancún's Beautiful Beaches

Many of Cancun's top hotels have direct access to the beach - or "playa," as it is called in Spanish - so you can enjoy amazing views of the fresh, sparkling waters that make this city so famous for tourists seeking Mexico vacations.

While regular visitors may have preferences, it's impossible to go wrong with Cancun's long stretches of beach. Each one has its unique feature.

Many of the famous beaches in Cancun are located along with the amazing Boulevard Cancun and Paseo Kukulkan, including de las Perlas, or the Juventud, Linda, Langosta, beautiful Tortugas, Caracol, and the great Chac-Mool (of these, Turtles, Caracol, and Chac-Mool tend to be the busiest).

Pok-ta-Pok, an 18-hole public golf course, is also nearby the 7.45-kilometer-long Paseo Kukulkan.

Spring Break

Spring break in Cancun is the best time to get your party on. From mid-February right through until April, there are thousands of college students and vacationers who flock there for some sun, and beach fun.

Climb Coba Ruins

When it comes to sightseeing in Cancun, the Mayan ruins are hard to beat. Coba's ruins are some of the most exciting to visit when it comes to these ancient sites.

Connected to a modern town of the same name, the region maintains an ancient culture. The best way to learn about the Yucatan's history is to visit Mayan ruins in Cancun.

During a walk through the ruins, you will see stone streets, carved monuments more than 1200 years old, pyramids, everyday dwellings, and even traditional ball courts.

Enjoy Playa Delfines

Cancun is a great place to relax on the beach. Cancun's highest point is located on this unique stretch of beach. By bus, car, or taxi it is easy to reach from the busy beaches in the Hotel Zone.

There are few of the vast stretch of sandy beach at the Playa Delfines, where you can even find a quiet spot to relax and yet get some shade under one of the different free umbrellas.

Play Golf on Beautiful Courses

Cancun has at least 15 golf courses so golfers will be pleased.

Several courses have interesting terrain and designs resembling cenotes, tropical jungles, mangroves, lagoons, sand dunes, and even Mayan ruins.

Pok Ta Pok is a favorite course. There are 18 holes at this course, a driving range, two practice putting greens, roving bars, and a driving range in the heart of the Hotel Zone.

Downtown Cancun is a great place to shop

Beaches, bars, and watersports are not all that Cancun offers. Visit the city's downtown, where locals hang out and where you can escape the resorts and glitzy Hotel Zone.

Mercado 28 or the Malecon Americas Shopping Center offers a variety of shopping. Thus, you can opt for the Cancun day tours to Tulum or you can simply sit in the park and experience Mexican life, eat at one of the tasty taco stands or local restaurants, or witness a less touristy nightlife at night.
